As a postmenopausal woman, now is the time to take charge of your health. Osteoporosis is often a "silent" disease, having few warning signs or symptoms — if left untreated, the disease can cause bones to become thin, brittle, and more likely to break. As postmenopausal women age, they also have a higher chance of being diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, another disease that often has few symptoms in its early stages.

EVISTA is the only medicine proven to reduce both the risk of spinal fractures due to osteoporosis and the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. EVISTA does not reduce the risk of all forms of breast cancer. EVISTA does not treat breast cancer if you already have it or reduce the risk of it coming back if you had it in the past.

By learning more about these health risks and how EVISTA may be able to help, you will be taking a positive step toward taking charge of your health. As with any medication, individual results may vary and should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
